Narrative

A driver was injured, and a pedestrian was killed following a crash at U.S. 301 and Five Chop Road in Santee around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 26th. South Carolina Highway Patrol said the driver of Traffic Unit 1 struck Traffic Unit 2. The driver of Traffic Unit 1 was hospitalized for unspecified injuries and was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The pedestrian succumbed to fatal injuries.
