Narrative

KERSHAW CO., SC – An accident involving a tractor-trailer and a van resulted in the death of a 24-year-old Charlotte man in Kershaw County on Wednesday afternoon.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Lockhart Road and Providence Road in northern Kershaw County around 12:13 p.m.

Investigators say the van was heading north on Providence Road and collided when the driver failed to halt at the stop sign on Lockhart Road.

Trayvon Corbett, the driver of the van, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the smei-truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
