Narrative
LANCASTER, SC – Two men died, and a third man went to the hospital Friday night after a solo crash along the highway in Lancaster.
The incident occurred around 5:10 a.m. on Pageland Highway near Roy Carnes Road, which is just east of Buford.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a westbound Infiniti sedan left the highway and crashed into a utility pole and a mailbox.
The collision killed 22-year-old Ty’Kezius Benson at the scene. A second man, 21-year-old Dareon Steward, died after transport to a local hospital.
Medics transported another male passenger via air ambulance to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
