ANDERSON CO., SC – The driver of an SUV died Saturday morning after a wrong-way collision along the highway in south-central Anderson County.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Highway 28 near Highway 413, which is between Homeland Park and Antreville.
The investigation indicates that a westbound SUV entered the eastbound lanes of Highway 28 and crashed head-on into a box truck.
The collision caused the SUV to overturn multiple times. Authorities pronounced the driver deceased at the scene of the accident.
It’s unclear if the driver of the box truck sustained injuries.
