Narrative
ANDERSON CO., SC – A pedestrian sustained fatal injuries Friday night when a vehicle struck them along the highway in Anderson County.
The incident happened around 11:45 p.m. along the southbound side of Highway 81. Police haven’t yet specified the exact location of the accident.
The investigation indicates that a southbound 2014 Jeep SUV hit a pedestrian as they were walking south along the highway.
Medics transported the pedestrian to the hospital, where they died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
