Narrative
WILLIAMSTON, SC – Medics transported the driver of a U-haul to the hospital Friday after the driver crashed into the top of a railroad trestle.
The incident happened just after noon Friday on Gossett Drive just south of Main Street and southwest of Williamston Spring Park.
Police say that the height of the U-haul exceeded the clearance of the trestle. The truck sustained significant damage to its top and broke a bollard on the trestle.
The extent of the driver’s injuries is unknown at this time.
