Narrative
ANDERSON, SC – One person died Tuesday night in Anderson after a single-vehicle crash along a roadway just west of Highway 81.
The incident happened before 10 p.m. on Cathey Road, which becomes Crestview Road to the east of Highway 81.
The investigation indicates that for unknown reasons, the westbound driver left the roadway and struck a tree after hitting a culvert and overturning.
The driver died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
