Narrative

HUGER, SC – One person died early Thursday morning in Huger after colliding with a semi-truck along the highway.

The incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. at Charity Church Road and SC-41, which is just east of Berkeley County Sanitation.

The investigation indicates that a 2015 Chevy Pickup truck struck a Volvo 18-wheeler while attempting to turn onto the highway. The driver of the Chevy was killed.

Officials haven’t mentioned any other injuries in connection to the accident.
