Narrative
COLLETON CO., SC – Three teenagers sustained injuries in a high-speed crash on the Augusta Highway Tuesday night.
Rescue personnel responded to the scene and discovered a Kia Soul lodged in the woods, having collided with a tree. The vehicle displayed significant damage to its front-end.
Two 15-year-olds who were passengers in the car were found without seat belts and suffered from multiple traumatic injuries. They were subsequently transported to the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Trauma Center at the Medical University of South Carolina for medical treatment.
The 18-year-old driver, who was only partially restrained at the time of the crash, also sustained injuries and was taken to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.
