Narrative

PICKENS CO., SC – A multi-vehicle collision near the North Carolina border left two people dead and three others injured on Sunday night.

Troopers say an SUV collided with a passenger vehicle on SC-11 near the intersection with Elizabeth Drive at about 10:30 p.m.

Two passengers in the passenger vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. They have since been identified as Alberta Oduraa Quartey, 23, and Abena Gyamfua, 31, both of Clemson.

The driver and a third passenger were hospitalized with unspecified injuries. The SUV’s driver was also hospitalized in unknown condition.
